Rob & Carla
(Sally & Penny's

Pet Parents)

Wild to Tame has helped my husband and I with our golden retriever Sally and her behaviour issues since she was a puppy. Sally is a sweet, loving dog who becomes overly stimulated very easily and can’t calm her mind. We were introduced to Elisa with Wild to Tame when Sally was about six months old and we were at our rope’s end contemplating surrendering her back for adoption. I’m happy to report that a year later we still have Sally and she’s doing great!! Elisa gave us the confidence and the courage to press on. She taught us skills on how to handle a dog who needs a lot of guidance and patience, and she explained how a dog’s mind works so that we could understand the skills we were implementing. Elisa is patient and confident, both with dogs and with the owners. She’s developed a trust in us that we know we can turn to her when we need some guidance. Fast forward a year later…we’ve gained the confidence to welcome another doggie into our family, Penny. Sally and Penny are best friends and are so good for each other! Elisa helped us navigate having another dog in the mix and it’s been a smooth transition. We’re so grateful to Elisa for all her dedication and support. Thanks to her, we now not only still have Sally in our family but also Penny! We’re so happy! Rob and Carla.

(Rocky's Pet parent)

Elisa was recommended to me by Paws it Forward to help me with my new rescue dog. She has provided private training sessions and ensured they were tailored to our individual needs. She has followed up with written notes after each session which have been truly invaluable. She has also been helpful with recommendations regarding everything from training harnesses and training treats to doggie daycares. I highly recommend Elisa’s services to anyone looking for an experienced, caring, dog training professional!

Paige Bourgeois
(Johnny's Pet Parent)

We rescued our dog Johnny from Paws it Forward and quickly realized he had some behavioural issues that needed to be worked on. Specifically some leash reactivity, some house manners, and socialization. Elisa was recommended to us from the rescue to help with this. We did three sessions with her and really appreciated her help! She took the time to get to know Johnny and what we wanted to work on. She was flexible with scheduling which we really appreciated as well. It was extremely helpful to get the tools we needed to help Johnny become better on the leash and in the house. He has come so far since our first session and it’s all thanks to Elisa’s help!  I would highly recommend her to anyone

Anita
(Damien's Pet Parent)

From the first day Elisa met my puppy Damien at my work I knew I wanted her to help me train him. She has a special connection with animals and he instantly was mesmerized by her and listening to her I was amazed. We did one on one personal training where Elisa came to our home and started to address any issues or concerns that we were having at the house. We then progressed to attending group training classes with other dogs at the same training level which was very helpful. The biggest challenge for Damien was listening when other dogs were around and all he wanted to do was play. Elisa gave me the tools and knowledge to continue what we learned in class at home. I also was lucky enough for Elisa to board Damien in her home for a week while I had surgery. He came back home so calm and well behaved. The biggest thing I learned from our training with Elisa was that we call it dog training but really it’s people training. That could not be more on point. Training became a very positive fun activity for Damien which improved the bond between him and I. I also learned how silly and fun Damien is and was able to use that as a tool in training.

Hamilton
(Maddox's Pet Parent)

When I lost my Frenchie last October I decided to honour him by rescuing a dog in need. Little did I know how much that would change my life and I don’t think the outcome would be what it is without your talent in training me to give Maddox what he needed. He is the sweetest guy and the star of the dog park with his ball chasing skills. I love how your website ties in both Costa Rica and PIF rescues with your talent to teach new owners what their recently rescued pet adapt to a loving home.
